Ordered fried green tomatoes. It was a take out so I had no idea they were burnt until I got home. Pork chops were fried ahead so therefore the breading just peeled off. Probably won’t be back
I arrived according to the hours posted on Google Maps, only to find it closed. The one star is just for inaccurate information.
The best southern home cooking you can get at a restaurant. The place is usually hopping because the food is just that good and the prices are good too. A must go if you are in Dayton.
Best in town .Great food ,friendly people ,clean ,. Its a home away from home. I love the hamburger steak.and the breakfast grill on Wednesday night.
On Mondays there is fried chicken that is THE BEST fried chicken I have ever had. The cornbread is perfect, and their sides are all around phenomenal, and all for low prices. Great local flavor in both food and clientele. Highly recommended.
Service with a SMILE... GREAT PEOPLE! AWESOME FOOD!
Great country food from people who love their country and our veterans!!
Country food is good but a bit salty.*Didn't get a dessert but I bet they're really good. I had the country steak and it was FAIR . I'll try something different the next time.
Good food nice people and large portions makes a full tummy
May be a good restaurant. But not really a coffee shop,
Great southern cooking, great southern hospitality, and great conversation with the locals.
Yum. Servers are awesome and good-looking.
Good southern food and excellent waiting staff.
As an outtatowner, this place was awesome. My family all got something different. We did not get any of the same sides and shared because they were all good. Waitresses are super friendly and do not steer you wrong.
Friendly atmosphere fresh coffee and just that hometown coffee shop feel😁😁🙂
Whenever I visit my hometown, I immediately want to go to "the coffee shop". It really is like coming home. I live in Knoxville and sometimes even call on Sundays to see if it is chicken and dumpling day because it's worth the 1.5 hour drive. If I do end up there and it's not chicken and dumpling day, I can highly recommend the open faced roast beef, as well. Actually, I just love everything there. :-)Yum!!!
I worked there bout 35 years ago. Loved the owner and Donna his niece then, she owns it now. But the food cant be beat! My sister comes in from Dandridge 2 times a week. We usually go to Raphaels in Soddy. They are ok but pricey and tired of the same dish. Though it is good but all Italian. Today went tried the coffee shop and oh my lord you would think your momma was in the kitchen!! The roast beef is awesome! And homemade pies and cobblers! They have chicken and dressing, dumplings, chicken fried steak, catfish on Friday's! Try it please! You wont be disappointed!!!
Great place to eat
I love this place they have great food , very good service, not real expensive either.
absolutely love this place!! good food, cheap prices, even good service! the whole package!
Excellent food, friendly people. A family atmosphere. Great prices.
Servers were not wearing masks and there was no social distancing in place. Need to do better
Good old homestyle cooking, attentive service and very reasonable prices.
Delicious food at a good price.
Girlfriend says the food is good and the service was good and good prices she said
A nice restaurant. We'll definitely be back again and again.
What an outstanding little restaurant. Small town, great pie. Come early because they roll the streets up by 8pm.
In a time of stress and fear this place was great food was great service was great a real home town place.

Great food an excellent service. 2nd time here super friendly people
Food and service great good place to eat
Great food wonderful service.
This place is not good at all! First thing we walk in and are ignored for 20 minutes. Then, we get our drinks and they tasted like dirt. Finally, our food came and it was either over seasoned or no seasoning at all. I will not be back!
Good southern cooking.
Nice friendly people . Clean, good food, family oriented.
The staff is very friendly and the food is great. There was no waiting today, but if there was it would be worth it. I will continue to dine here. Thank you for your service to our community
Best hot roast beef sandwiches around always has been always will be
Average food. This place could be great. I have visited this establishment on three different occasions and have found the entree to be Luke warm to cool on all three accounts. I prefer my meal to be hot. Three stars for that reason. They do offer great items and they have daily specials.
AWESOME EMPLOYEES AND GREAT FOOD
Very delicious food especially their desserts. Staff are friendly and courteous
The food and service here are amazing!!!
Nice little cozy spot to enjoy fresh foodCoffee, and just chat with friends and family!
Hubby brought me loved it friendly staff A+
Well, my food was great, but my daughter's wasn't. She said her grilled chicken was too fatty....
Ordered biscuit and gravy unaware they make their own brown gravy. I like brown gravy but theirs was horrible! When we didn't eat any of the gravy and when the waitress asked how our food was and we said it was bad. She informed us the gravy was "great" gravy and they were known for it. She didn't take it off the price and that's okay, we just won't go back. They evidently don't need new customers.
Nothing special, Nothing new. It's the same southern it was 15 years ago. It will likely remain the same for the next 15 as well.
Just moved into the area and was super excited to have a small hometown diner down the road from us. Was sorely disappointed. Visited 7/9/18. The gravy for the "gravy and biscuits" was bland and had no meat, which was incredibly weird. I've never seen just gravy and biscuits for breakfast without meat like sausage in the gravy. My mom couldn't even eat hers. The grits were soaking wet and tasted instant and bland, even with butter and salt and pepper. Pancake was like a desert despite loads of syrup. The biscuits themselves were good though, so there's that. Breakfast wise we won't be back, but we really want to give their lunch menu a chance.
Had this biscuit and gravy this morning, a good place to go for good hearty home cooking
Great food 👍👍 Down home small town atmosphere Nice place to make your "regular" place to eat
I was afew minutes late for breakfast but they accommodated me with a great breakfast. All the people I met were awesome, I highly recommend this place for breakfast.
